Boba World

At the moment, the new food obsession seems to be Boba tea.  I had a few friends years ago who would have me try the small, chewy tapioca pearls and I was not the least bit impressed.  Well, tastes change and while Meghan still turns her nose up at the chewy delights, my mom and I are hooked.  So, I am on a mission to find the best tea joints in Southern California.  Today’s stop was at Boba World, which is really located inside a small shop/restaurant called Noodle World.

The space seems small, but the menu appears pretty expansive for a quick bite to eat or take-out.  I didn’t have enough time to test out the food fare, so I’ll keep that on a list for the next time.  Parking is limited to the parking garages or down Colorado a bit.

I picked up two green tea bobas (offered in black and green), one with mango flavoring, the other with passionfruit (my favorite), both with tapioca pearls (extra $0.50).  The teas tasted relatively the same in comparison to other teas I have had and they seemed to be a little stingy on the pearls.  While I did like the consistency of the tapioca, I don’t think it would be something to test out again.  However, there were a few different tea and coffee options, including Oreo mocha frappacuino that sounded intriguing.
