Break Rundown Part #1

Here’s a look at how I’ve filled the past few days back at home.  I am heading up to Santa Barbara to take a trip out to the Anacapa Island on Friday and am so excited! I get to take loads of pictures and use them for my photo cards.

I’m really trying to get a good “relaxing” break by being away from technology but obviously that is failing.  I probably will be back sporadically during this week, so don’t hold your breath for any new posts.  Ok, that sounded a bit arrogant, but you get the idea 😉

Started the day with some gym and an iced blended green tea from my favorite coffee shop.
Wandering Sprouts market for some ingredients to make quinoa granola.

A glorious hike with my girl friends.  It was so much fun to catch up and be active at the same time!  Bodie was in 7th heaven.

Followed up with a TJ’s salad and funky juice drink.  My friends went with smoothies, but I have been dying to try fresh juice, so why not?
Then it was time to relax by the pool. Got to love Southern California.

Also, as I may have mentioned, I’ve decided I’m going to align myself with Zooey Deschanel.  She is quirky and fantastic and if anyone doesn’t understand her unique personality, then that’s a loss for them.

I sometimes find myself in the same situations with random thoughts and conversations and if anyone has a problem with it, then oh well.  🙂  My mom even picked up a special magazine with Zooey on the cover.  Yes, my mom is one amazing person.

  1. Your break sounds absolutely amazing. I love being at home and moms are pretty amazing 🙂 Can I just be Zooey? Please? Okay, maybe not realistic. I’ll just be my weird awkward self instead. Enjoy the rest of your week, technology or not. We’ll still be here!

  2. Umm this seriously looks like the exact type of break I am trying to emulate. Lots of good food, friends, and a dash of exercise 🙂 Even though I’m not pulling myself away from technology completely either, its nice to just unplug for a little bit
