Well a very happy April 1st or April Fool’s day to those who believe.
Well, it’s time to reveal what I received for this month’s foodie pen exchange. If you are new to the blog or haven’t read one of my reviews, you should click your way to this site. Each month, you get paired with another foodie enthusiast. You send $15 worth of goodies their way and another sends you $15 worth of goodies. It’s quite fun to see what other people enjoy and what new products you are exposed to. I took a few months off during winter quarter, but decided to give it a whirl again.
This month I received a WONDERFUL package from Natalie over at “In Natalie’s Shoes”. I have to use all caps in my words because it truly was just that good. I hadn’t really given her any direction of what I do and don’t like (besides my sweet tooth and dislike for mushrooms/olives) and it’s like she knew me personally.
Natalie also included some of her homemade chocolate chip cookies which were thin, crisp, and heavenly. I wasn’t at home when the package arrived, so we popped them in the freezer. I happen to believe most desserts are better frozen, but that’s just my personal opinion. Who doesn’t love chips? Beyond that, who doesn’t love BAR-B-Q??? Absolutely my favorite. These will be epic combinations for studying and snacking 🙂
Save some of the best for last. Dessert 🙂 First, I LOVE dark chocolate. There really isn’t any other chocolate that can make it work. Plus caramel and sea salt and notice the color of the bar and words. Ok, not that the print makes it taste differently but really, my favorite color! Hey, I might even dip this in the peanut butter if it’s not finished by the time this blog is published. Fat chance.
See anything that looks good? Test something new out 🙂
